Sede Bogotá., ) Fuentes Mojica, Gerardo Alcides; Rodriguez Barón, Iván FelipeAir operations of helicopters in unprepared areas are a constant in the hydrocarbon environment, due to the remoteness of facilities and the challenging access to infrastructure caused by the difficult Colombian geography and its limited access routes. The lack of suitable heliport services in these areas forces a constant reliance on the use of unprepared areas to carry out aerial operations for the movement of personnel and cargo in helicopters, which are vital for supplying and maintaining the infrastructure related to the hydrocarbon industry. An additional factor in these high-risk operations is the limited time available to conduct a proper analysis of the terrain and various obstacles. This is why it is necessary for the planning team to present this information in a clear, objective, and precise manner to contribute to the decision-making of the crews. This allows for a precise assessment of the risks associated with operations in unprepared areas; otherwise, there would be inadequate management, resulting in uninformed decisions and a lack of appropriate safety and prevention measures that could lead to an accident. The proposed solution to address the challenge of helicopter air operations in unprepared areas lies in the strategic implementation of drone technology as the main tool for taking measures and identifying obstacles. This involves employing various image processing techniques such as photogrammetry and structure inspection. The product obtained will be presented to the crews and personnel involved in the operation briefing to enhance aviation safety.
Sede Bogotá., ) Cano Bernal, Sebastian Felipe; Campos Montealegre, Davison Alexander; Rodríguez Barón, Iván FelipeTechnology in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) has allowed us to have a greater perspective regarding the usefulness of airspace for industries or commerce in general. The current vision of the UAS mainly focuses its efforts on urban and regional passenger transportation; However, its usefulness as a means of logistical transportation for the transportation of goods is a utility that is still in the research and development stages in first world countries with the investment of large companies such as Amazon or UPS. Nowadays, in 2023, through some UAS, tests are being carried out to transport merchandise in general, with the only limitations being the load capacity of the aircraft or the flight autonomy that the system may have. Among the things that can be transported in a UAS are medical supplies or human tissues for transplants, which, in underdeveloped countries that lack hospital and road infrastructure, must travel long distances to their destinations. In Colombia, due to the little infrastructure, adapted to the needs of 2023, the use of airspace will be important for the transport of special handling goods, such as human tissues since these require special care and processing times. very careful delivery because the life of a human being could depend on this. This article will discuss the use of airways previously designed for the use of helicopters. Which, establishing certain limits in their operation, such as the flight altitude and their safety zones towards their surrounding spaces and additionally with the support of aeronautical and local regulations, which allow the implementation of the Drone Delivery method for use in medical applications, reducing vital delivery times in health systems but also benefiting the environment with the use of renewable energies such as electrical energy, promoting its movement.
Sede Bogotá., ) Torres Valencia, Hernán Darío; Orduy Rodríguez, Jaime Enrique; Lozano Tafur, Cristian (Codirector)The soil is made up of several elements among which are minerals, organic matter, organisms, air and water and this is formed due to different factors such as erosion and decomposition by microorganisms, these elements can be identified by means of analysis of variables such as temperature. The analysis that is carried out on the soils constitutes a process for the acquisition of data and relevant information on its composition and main characteristics, in order to identify the type of soil that exists in the field and in several cases provide detailed information about this same. On the other hand, the quality of the terrain is an important factor that can significantly affect the success of military operations. In many cases, the site where these special operations take place may have unique characteristics. In Colombia, these operations are carried out in swamps, dense forests or mountainous areas, which can affect the ability of troops to move efficiently, as well as reduce the maneuverability of weapons and the functionality of vehicles. Therefore, carrying out a detailed analysis of the soil can help the Military Forces to better understand the terrain in which they operate and make decisions, in addition to knowing the presence of antipersonnel mines. For this reason, the objective of soil analysis is the optimization of military resources in addition to time; for assertive decision making. A method for the analysis of the terrain through unmanned aircraft systems and aerial photography is presented, making a comparison of variables and images that will help this decision making for its future implementation in Colombian troops.
Sede Bogotá., ) Vargas Puerto, Eder Oswaldo; Vargas Cañón, Jonathan StevenThis study focuses on evaluating the performance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) equipped with thermal imaging cameras and their positive impact on surveillance and security systems in urban, business and rural environments. Through a literature search, it was determined that multirotor drones are the most used for surveillance tasks due to their high-resolution thermal cameras and remote tracking capabilities, as well as their hovering capacity for detailed area inspection. Sede Bogotá., ) Araque García, Diana Marcela; Higuera Cruz, Juan Francisco; Barón Rodríguez, Didier Ferney; Orduy Rodriguez, Jaime EnriqueWithin the methodological process carried out in the reconstruction of traffic accidents, it is necessary to determine the coefficients of deceleration or friction to be used, depending on the case, to objectively establish the traffic speeds of the vehicles involved, taking into account: the type of vehicle, surface and geometry of the roadway and its condition; To this end, researchers in the field have carried out experiments since the 1970s in order to establish these coefficients for various situations. The most commonly used methods take up the statistical analysis of data obtained through measurements made in the field, technological tools such as digital accelerometers or images processed with video cameras. The purpose of this work was to demonstrate that the accuracy of the data obtained from the video images taken by a DJI Mavic Pro Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and processed in Tracker ® educational software can be compared with the information recorded with a VC4000 digital accelerometer, being The first solution is an option with a rationally lower cost, with a rate of obtaining information that is higher than the second, and with a versatility to execute scenarios that is notoriously superior. 122 braking tests without wheel lock were carried out on two motorcycles under controlled conditions whose maneuvers were recorded on video by means of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle at a height of 32 meters and the angular video camera of an IPhone 13 Pro phone from the ground; that allowed to determine that the data obtained from the UAV with respect to the information acquired by the VC4000 accelerometer do not contain significant differences and that this solution is viable to be applied to other scenarios that require estimating other types of friction / deceleration coefficients.
Sede Bogotá., ) Losada Moncada, Carlos Felipe; Orduy Rodriguez, Jaime EnriqueColombia has a regulation in force since 2018, for the operation of Unmanned Aircraft, however, the competent entity (Civil Aeronautics) does not have cartography of the free, restricted and limited areas for the flight of this type of aircraft. Furthermore, this thesis graphically shows the areas with limitations established in Resolution 4201 of 2018 and presents a case study for the city of Bogotá D.C. It establishes the area for the operation of these aircraft by locality. Subsequently, the exercise raises the need for the creation of a national UTM, in which the different entities are articulated. Also it is possible to think of a new regulation with greater flexibility and that contemplates the different uses of UAVs (por sus siglas en inglés Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) A cartographic approximation of the operability was made to the project proposed by the ESU company (Empresa para la Seguridad y Soluciones Urbanas), to establish an air highway over the Medellin river for the development of Delivery activities, graphically showing the limitations established by the current regulations. Conclusively, the results of the case study for the operation of unmanned aircraft in the city of Bogotá D.C. and the free areas for their use are presented; the need for adjustments in the current regulations, taking into account the importance to have restricted areas. Sede Bogotá., ) Gómez Useda, John Alberto; Rodríguez Barón, Iván FelipeThis research presents an analysis of the implementation of the Schlieren visualization technique in wind tunnel, where the wing of an unmanned vertical take-off and landing aircraft and horizontal advance "vertical take off landing VTOL" is analyzed, initially performing a theoretical analysis calculation of the resistance generated by the vertical lift propellers and then performing a wind tunnel assembly of the Schlieren visualization technique type Z, where in order to observe the detachment of the boundary layer or the wakes generated on the top surface of the wing by means of photographs. Taking into account that the operation of unmanned aircrafts does not overcome the sound barrier and this subsonic flow when in contact with elements in front of the wing, besides generating drag when advancing, can generate vorticity, which can present air circulation bubbles that can at some point detach the boundary layer and consequently present uncalculated losses of lift in the wing. With the visualization technique we want to know how this interference occurs when the air passes through the propeller of a VTOL system.

Additionally, the benefits of using image processing techniques and photogrammetry were highlighted, enabling the generation of digital elevation models and orthophotos from images captured by the drones. These models provide a detailed three-dimensional representation of the terrain, facilitating analysis and interpretation of the topographic data. Some challenges and limitations associated with the use of drones in topographic surveying of unstable sites were also discussed, including adverse weather conditions, flight autonomy, and result accuracy. However, it was concluded that drones are a promising and effective tool for obtaining accurate topographic information in unstable areas of Bogotá, despite the associated challenges.
Sede Bogotá., ) Lasprilla Garzon, Carlos Francisco; Orduy Rodriguez, Jaime EnriqueThe technology development generates that more and more people seek to carry out flight activities with remotely manned aircraft; this has been integrated into daily life, developing tasks that previously required conventional aircraft. For this reason, the psychophysical aspects of these people who carry out various activities with drones are not controlled, and their physical, mental and emotional integrity to carry out aeronautical activities is unknown; in addition to not having a safety factor that evaluates the operator in this branch of aviation, which is emerging. For this, It is proposed that drone operators, as happens with conventional pilots comply with a series of medical assessments and approve them in order to access their certification. Their application will be a link in the air safety chain, which will also allow the country's regulatory body to identify the different symptoms, diseases that this new generation of operators could suffer and thus avoid incidents, accidents, and events that could happen when carrying out these activities. It will also allow the mystery in charge of the country to carry out studies and add them to the parameters of job security. In this way, a bibliographic review of the documents of the regulatory entity of civil aviation, the UAEAC2, is carried out, where based on the medical tests that are applied to traditional pilots, those that could be applied to operators of unmanned aircraft are selected. ; One of the benefits of implementing these medical assessments is the support of health entities, including the professional field, and they may have support to fulfill their profession. Finally, a parameterization of the needs and attitudes required to acquire this certification as operators of remotely manned aircraft was carried out.
Sede Bogotá., ) Moreno Rocha, Wilson Eduardo; Fajardo Martínez, Ximena; Rodríguez, Didier Aldana; Orduy Rodriguez, Jaime EnriqueThe objective of this document is to carry out a bibliographical review that allows a methodological proposal to link drones with a mobile APP for citizen security. This APP has been a technological creation since 2016 that has been improving and has had the articulation of different hardware uses for its improvement and optimization. To this extent, the research carried out is supported by the increase in the levels of insecurity that are reported by expert entities in the field of security of the city and the country. For this reason, it is essential to seek strategies to contribute to this problem that increasingly generates more significant uncertainty and fear in the population, causing physical and psychological effects on citizens. Therefore, this investigative exercise had three stages at different times; these were: a documentary review phase to establish the proposal, which is presented in this document; a second stage, which corresponded to a development and implementation exercise projected for 2023 and a third stage or final phase that will be later called implementation in a focus group (2023-2024). In this document, only the first stage is contemplated, using the qualitative methodology using a documentary review method with matrices that allows providing inputs of great value, which also serves as a repository of information existing up to now on the subject and generates construction in knowledge about the topic under study. In conclusion to the above, a matrix will be established with relevant information from the compilation prepared and elements that will contribute to the methodological proposal that allows linking the citizen security mobile APP to drones.
