dc.description	Los seres humanos debemos concientizarnos que los recursos naturales se están agotando rápidamente, que, de no tomarse medidas drásticas a nivel mundial para su conservación, muy pronto la humanidad se verá estancada en su desarrollo social y económico, además con la certeza de la posibilidad de la afectación de su propia existencia. Aunque muy incipiente y de pronto insuficiente se están desarrollando en las instituciones educativas, implantados por normas gubernamentales, los llamados proyectos ambientales escolares, PRAES, que, en definición, trabajan las problemáticas ambientales de los entornos circundantes a las instituciones educativas en los que se desarrollan. Son una estrategia creada para asegurar la inserción de la educación ambiental en el sistema educativo colombiano, garantizando su presencia en los diseños y desarrollos curriculares. En Colombia, todas las reflexiones que se han hecho y se siguen haciendo en torno a la educación ambiental, se basan en la necesidad de contribuir en la formación de ciudadanos capaces de relacionarse en forma adecuada con el ambiente.	spa
dc.description.abstract	Human beings must be very aware that natural resources and with them the different ecosystems, are being depleted rapidly and that if drastic measures are not taken worldwide very soon humanity will be stagnant in its social and economic development and with the certainty of the difficulty of its own existence. Although very incipient and suddenly insufficient, the so called school environmental projects, PRAES, are being developed in educational institutions, implemented by government regulations, which, in definition, The School Environmental Projects, work on the environmental problems of the environments surrounding the educational institutions in which they are developed. They are a government strategy created to ensure the insertion of environmental education in the Colombian educational system, guaranteeing its presence in curricular designs and developments. In Colombia, all the reflections that have been made and continue to be made about environmental education in the context are based on the need to contribute to the formation of citizens capable of relating adequately to the environment, taking into account the current needs and the proposals for sustainable development that are being built in the different regions of the country.	spa
