Poverty is “the condition characterized by severe deprivation of basic human needs, including food, clean water, sanitation, health, housing, education and information. Poverty depends not only on income money but also access to services” (ONU, 1995). In this project, we analyze multidimensional poverty, an index that handles 10 indicators that together define 3 critical dimensions whose configuration is poverty: education, health, absence and quality of life (UNDP, Human Development Report, 2010). This index is evaluated according to statistics from DANE and the District Planning Secretariat on children from 3 to 12 years old of age within the locality of Ciudad Bolívar, in the period 2010-2014. in agreement to the above, improvements are presented in relation to one year to another in the dimensions and health conditions, education and quality of life, preserving the rights of the first childhood.

The objective of the document is to determine the impact of foreign trade on the Colombian economy from a simulation exercise with the symmetric product input matrix of the Colombian economy to 61 sectors with basic prices, product by product, for the year 2010. It is taken as a starting hypothesis that the commercial effect is positive and under this logic a hypothetical (or counterfactual) scenario was proposed, which assumes the behavior of the Colombian economy without trade (exports and imports) with Chile over the productive mesh and was compared with the situation of the country with the country's trade. Among the main conclusions is the growth of the trade balance achieved by Chile through the specialization of its production lines and the economic linkage that has been achieved from Colombia with other countries in the region, specifically Chile, where it has found a commercial partner strategic according to the projection in commercial growth that Colombia intends to achieve; the bilateral analysis carried out aims to show the benefits of trade between both countries and the deficit to which they could submit if they do not have this important commercial partner.

Poverty is a condition that has affected the quality of life of many people in the world. In Colombia, although various policies have been implemented aimed at mitigating the adverse effects that arise, there are still departments in which situations involving aspects related to education, health, housing, among others are evident. One of the departments in which an increase in income inequality is evident is Chocó. Despite having a diversity of natural resources, it has been lagging behind the development that occurs in other regions of the country. A different panorama is what is found in Chocó, given that the economic factor for the inhabitant becomes a fundamental element of their survival, but the absence of contract regulation is one of the main causes of the economic imbalance that arises.
Beltrán Cardozo, Laura Esperanza; Cuevas Centeno, Daniela Beatriz; Danna Buitrago, Jenny Paola
This research will analyze the variables and factors that favor the productivity and innovation of the pharmaceutical subsector in Colombia, in the period 1995-2018. In this way, alternatives for improvement are presented to mitigate the effects that have impeded the growth of productivity in this subsector in the country. In Colombia, market and government failures are perceived that have caused a reduction in production and therefore in exports. Throughout the document, what happened with the variables of innovation, productivity and their effect on exports is explained, starting with studies at the international level, then at the national level and ending with the specific sector. Important data from EAM, EDIT, and UNCTADSTAT were used, providing data for the chosen model.

This paper seeks to establish the incidence of the internal armed conflict in Colombia on the economic growth of Antioquia, during the period 2002-2018. This period, there were three presidential governments and a transversal fact, the signing of the Peace Agreements document between the government of Juan Manuel Santos and the FARC, in 2016. Methodologically, the fixed effects model was used, grouping in different panels variables associated with the economic growth of Antioquia and the armed conflict; five panels were built with variables associated with departmental economic growth (GDP per capita, current deficit, value of credit to producers, education test results and infant mortality rate) and a panel that included information associated with variables of armed conflict (terrorism, kidnapping, piracy rates, illegal checkpoints, harassment, institutions, subversive actions, ambushes and homicide), finding that the presence of the conflict affected the department of Antioquia, especially its GDP per capita.(apartes del texto)

This document corresponding to a descriptive research work, carried out to determine if the increasing Venezuelan migration in the period (2012-2019), influenced the behavior of the unemployment rate in Colombia during the same period. Starting from a quantitative point of view, you can detect the multiple regression technique as a methodology to perform a statistical analysis of selected data from secondary sources, which shows that Venezuelan migration did have effects on the unemployment rate. However, its impact was very low, since increasing population also increases production and this creates a balance in the labor market.

The economic growth of countries such as China, India and Korea, have changed the economic aspect and the way of trading in financial markets, altering significantly the conversion pattern of the peso / dollar exchange rate, moving to a floating exchange rate regime that obeys the existing market force between the supply and demand. Hence, it is important to highlight the influence of external factors such as: constant increases in the interest rate of the Federal Reserve (FED, conflicts political, social and economic that occur in the nations, the volatility of the international oil prices, among others.

This paper investigates the marginal effect for the different sources of income with respect to the Gini index in the departments of the Andean region of Colombia, in a period between 2009-2018 with household survey microdata. An estimate is developed by means of a decomposition methodology by income sources to calculate the correlation, contribution, concentration and percentage change of 1%. The results show that, despite the income inequalities, the effects would be slightly favorable in terms of reducing this inequality, although it should be added that the data may vary from one time to another, it is necessary to continue studies on this problem.

research work focused on the growth theory developed by Hofstetter (1998) , which incorporated the costs of violent crimes and their implications for Colombia's economic growth. It is intended to provide a broad view on the issue of crime and the impact of this variable on economic development at the departmental level for the years 2000 and 2016, taking into account that Colombia is a country that has experienced an armed conflict for more than half a century, which has had repercussions on the country's economy. An econometric panel model was proposed, which allows examining and exposing the incidence of the crime rate and violence, and the impact of these variables on economic growth in Colombia at the departmental level. The crime rate reflected by the homicide rate per 100 thousand inhabitants, the employment rate, the total number of students enrolled per department per year, the poverty rate, the GDP rate per department, and the variable armed conflict will be included. that it would be represented by the totality of attacks to civilians by the FARC, and thus be able to have a model that can explain in the best way the incidence of these variables in the economic growth in Colombia, especially the homicides and the variable armed conflict.
