dc.descriptionDesde el siglo XVIII la prostitución se ha considerado como un fenómeno despreciable pero ineludible para la sociedad y durante los últimos veinte años ha generado una dramática discusión en la relación que viene presentando con el turismo. Se han creado escenarios en los que se encuentra una oferta turística dedicada a la práctica del turismo sexual en todo el mundo, dando paso a la internacionalización del mercado turístico-sexual hacia finales de siglo XX e inicios del siglo XXI (Gallego et al., 2015), siendo Colombia uno de los países en los que mayor consumo hay de estos servicios por parte de extranjeros. Entiéndase el turismo sexual como una práctica que se pretende no admitir su existencia para muchas de las instituciones involucradas en el desarrollo de las actividades turísticas pero que está presente dentro de los más importantes comités de turismo que se reúnen y reconocen la importancia de su existencia y los grandes esfuerzos que necesitan para que las redes del turismo no sean usadas para la explotación de la prostitución de otros. Tal es el caso del código ético mundial del turismo que tiene en cuenta la Resolución de la XI Asamblea General de la OMT (El Cairo) sobre la prevención del turismo sexual organizado, realizada el 22 de octubre de 1995, entre muchos otros pactos, declaraciones, convenios y resoluciones, esto con el fin de afirmar el derecho al turismo y a la libertad de desplazamiento turístico con base en la promulgación de un orden turístico mundial equitativo, responsable y sostenible.spa
dc.description.abstractSince the 18th century, prostitution has been considered a despicable phenomenon but unavoidable for society and during the last twenty years it has generated a dramatic discussion in the relationship that has been presenting with tourism. Has been created scenarios in which there is a tourist offer dedicated to the practice of tourism around the world, giving way to the internationalization of the sexual-tourism market towards the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century (Gallego et al., 2015), being Colombia one of the countries with the highest consumption of these services by foreigners. Understand sex tourism as a practice that is intended not to admit its existence for many of the institutions involved in the development of tourist activities but that is present within the most important tourism committees that meet and they recognize the importance of their existence and the great efforts they need to tourism networks are not used for the exploitation of the prostitution of others. Such is the case of the world ethical code of tourism that takes into account the Resolution of the XI UNWTO General Assembly (Cairo) on the prevention of sex tourism organized, held on October 22, 1995, among many other pacts, declarations, conventions and resolutions, this in order to affirm the right to tourism and freedom of tourism displacement based on the enactment of a world tourism order equitable, responsible and sustainable.spa
