In this case in particular to be able to determine and analyze the factors that influence the lack of ability of fifth grade students of the Educational Institution Moises Cabeza to analyze, understand and solve logical - mathematical problems was used the type of qualitative research where evidences a case study of pedagogical intervention. Direct observation of the intervened students, the socioeconomic environments in which they were developed and the analysis of institutional documents on their results in the external tests of the mathematics area were used (Saber Test 2015).
