Sede Bogotá., ) Giral Huertas, Heidy Lisbeth; Lozano Forero, Sebastien; Gallego Torres, Adriana PatriciaStem careers are often seen as one of the areas that will generate the most jobs in the future, sources anticipate that up to 75% of jobs will be related to STEMS (UNESCO, 2018). What promotes sustainable development: stimulating innovation, social well-being inclusive growth. Despite significant progress in recent years, the number of women in these areas remains very small. The objective of this article is to forecast graduates of Higher Education Institutions in the areas of STEM knowledge, to be able to analyze the gender participation landscape of these academic programs. In this way estimate the behavior and trend that will be presented in graduates in Colombia over the next 4 semesters and for this a time series analysis was performed using a ARIMA model

Sede Bogotá., ) Saavedra Arias, Erick Steephen; Lozano Forero, SebastienThe objective of this paper is to propose a statistical model that allows analyzing the effect of unemployment on the quality of the portfolio for the products of the consumption modality in financial institutions in Colombia. To carry out the analysis, a contextualisation of the functioning and use of the Expired Portfolio Index is carried out since this element allows to evaluate the quality of the portfolio in the credit institutions. To identify the forecast model, the Box-Jenkins time series methodology is used and the best model found by the SARIMAX methods is proposed, from which the corresponding forecasts are made, the results are analyzed and the best model is chosen.

Sede Bogotá., ) Gallor Linares, Luisa Manuela; Pedraza Hernández, Cristian Julián; Lozano Forero, SebastienThis work aims to propose a statistical model to forecasting the Household Consumption in Colombia taking into account the money amounts for transactions in Debit and Credit Cards as exogenous variables. In addition, it seeks to describe how the crisis caused by COVID-19 impacted each of the variables to work on. For this analysis, are studied the economic theories of consumption proposed mainly by Keynes, Fisher and Friedman, to understand how the individuals decide in what way and in what quantity to consume. Likewise, it seeks to understand how households leverage their consumption, if it is through the use of their income and current savings, or if they leverage short-term consumer loans. In this way, intervention models are proposed for each of the variables, understanding the impact of Covid-19 and in the case of the Cards variables, proposed an ARIMA forecast model. In the case of the Household Consumption variable, a SARIMAX model is proposed, which takes into account the forecast of the intervened variables of Debit and Credit Cards.

Sede Bogotá., ) Ramírez García, Priscila; Lozano Forero, SebastienHIV-AIDS has become over the years an event of interest in Public Health worldwide that affects a large number of the population and which requires the implementation of effective programs at the local and global level for its care, mitigation and prevention. Thus, it is of interest to be able to have information that allows a greater knowledge of the behavior of this phenomenon at the local level for making more accurate decisions and making use of statistical tools. The main of this degree work is to propose a prognosis model of HIV-AIDS cases for the city of Medellín, period based on the data obtained in 2008-2017, addressing the Box Jenkins statistical methodology under an ARIMA, the which will be useful to learn more about the problem and how the actions that are being carried out in the present will be able to impact in the future. The most important conclusion is the obtaining of an ARIMA model with adjusted parameters for the prediction of said event of interest in public health.
