- ÍtemCultura ambiental y ciencia ciudadana orientada a la protección de la Quebrada Tibanica, en el municipio de Soacha-Cundinamarca(Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. Sede Bogotá., ) Zabala Camayo, Natalia; Pérez Benítez, Johan HernánThe usefulness of water is indispensable for agricultural progress and the financial sector, human consumption, the ecosystem and its biodiversity, for which reason the protection and conservation of this resource is fundamental to preserve the quality and quantity of this resource. The contamination of water sources is a difficult issue to deal with worldwide due to the lack of environmental culture, education and sense of belonging. In Colombia there is a great wealth of rivers, lagoons, lakes, ravines, aquifers and groundwater, but human activity in some areas has allowed the destruction of this natural resource. In Soacha-Cundinamarca there are several areas of environmental protection and others that remain to be protected, being the Tibanica Quebrada one of the most important bodies of water in the municipality, since it is the source of supply of the Tibanica Wetland. The objective of this project is to develop a methodological strategy that seeks interaction with the community by encouraging the participation of the inhabitants to protect the gorge, its environment and reduce the pollution of the tributary. Through application tools and a qualitative approach, awareness-raising days, the use of technological tools and social mapping, interpretation and knowledge of knowledge in the community are to be established. Research tools, application of technical knowledge and community collaboration Through intervention strategies, we seek to achieve a significant advance to protect this resource, encouraging alternatives for application in other regions with this project.
