Sede Bogotá., ) Lava, Andrés; Yepes Aguirre, Zul María; Barrera Liévano, Dayana CatherineThe research proposes a disciplinary intervention where it identifies a problem through a series of variables that affects the care of the common home and during the development of this research project the theme of building an Environmental Education project focused on the interdisciplinarity and transversality of the elaboration of organic compost as a pedagogical strategy based on the construction of an ecosystem concept that allows integral development, with a critical stance of the students as a pedagogical setting to strengthen the learning of environmental culture in the classroom; with 8th grade students at the Las Lajas Rural Educational Institution of the Yurayaco Inspection, in the municipality of San José del Fragua; The research is structured from the qualitative current under a descriptive perspective, the unit of analysis allowed to decide that the 8th grade students of the Rural Educational Institution Las Lajas of the Yurayaco Inspection, can identify that through this space the construction of a meaningful learning of the different topics associated with environmental education from different disciplines such as the protection and conservation of ecosystems and agricultural production friendly to its environment, sustainable environment; arguments that allow in turn to establish that by strengthening these types of spaces the socialization of different topics is achieved that favor the rescue of ancestral knowledge, which contributes in some way to improving the quality of life of the participating families and improves the meaningful learning, develops skills in organic compost and better management techniques, taking into account the importance of creating a collective work.
