Sede Bogotá., ) De la Espriella Ramos, Camilo Ernesto; Yánez Navarro, Danilo José; Luengas Alarcón, Ana MilenaThis research has as main themes school violence and empathy as a pedagogical strategy focused on the mitigation of violent behavior in the school context. It is proposed as the central axis of the investigation to establish a diagnosis on the situation of school violence in sixth grade students, and as a result, propose pedagogical activities based on empathy as a means to prevent aggressive or intimidating behaviors between peers. The research is developed with a sample of 30 sixth grade students of the Educational Institution Antonio Roldán Betancur of Necoclí Antioquia, under a descriptive qualitative methodology. The main findings of the research highlight the constant occurrence of conflicts or aggressive behaviors among students, the little knowledge about the concept of school violence and its different forms of manifestation by students, as well as derisory awareness of the teachers, who attend the sixth grade, on the phenomenon of school violence and its implications, converging this to the need to structure an intervention proposal pedagogical that is left as results of the investigation.
