Sede Bogotá., ) Velasco Fernández, Carmen Tulia; Sepúlveda Rojas, EsperanzaThis document called playful pedagogical strategies to promote skills of reading and writing in third grade students of the technical educational institution Tunia headquarters farallones de Piendamó Cauca, had the purpose of designing a proposal through playful strategies to improve reading and writing skills. Considering the playful as a fundamental element in the development of the child, which positively affects the learning in the acquisition of literacy; motivating and creating spaces that generate playful environments so that the child feels comfortable and enjoys the reading process. The proposal was characterized by having a descriptive qualitative research methodology already that for the collection of information, direct observation was used as instruments and the survey which was developed in two phases; phase 1 that is carried out in two moments: the phase exploratory in the first moment and the second moment design and application of the survey to the target population that were 14 third grade students 6 girls and 9 boys ranging from in ages between 7 to 11 years on reading habits, which resulted in identifying some factors that generate the deficiency in reading comprehension, highlighting the little habit of reading in the family environment, the low academic level in parents, the economic factor, the lack of a library at the headquarters. These results were used for the design of the activity guide called little readers.
