Sede Bogotá., ) Serna Montenegro, Gisel Sthepfany; Vélez, Yermis Fabián; Cortes Dussan, German DuglasThe accelerated demographic growth of the human species on the planet has caused that food production must be increased to the same extent to guarantee the food security of the inhabitants. That is why from the agricultural sector they strive to increase the quantity in their crops, for which they mainly resort to the use of agrochemicals, both fertilizers and pesticides; However, these practices have become unsustainable due to the excessive use of these chemicals, impacting human health, the economy, but above all the environment. On the one hand, there are the main impacts such as soil degradation, expressed in loss of fertility, erosion and modification of the microbiota; and on the other hand the contamination of water sources by runoff and infiltration. The Catatumbo region in Colombia is a very productive area in which this problem occurs, which is why, from one of its towns, in the village of La Fortuna, the present interdisciplinary pedagogical proposal is designed for elementary school students with in order to minimize soil degradation by chemical fertilizers in this village. For this intervention project, a qualitative methodology was used where the village was first diagnosed as a study area to know its agricultural potentialities, later the previous knowledge or pre-knowledge of the students was investigated and thus establish the themes for each area from sixth to nineth grades that allow to recognize the negative impact of chemical fertilizers and reduce soil degradation.
