Sede Bogotá., ) Pérez Galindo, Miguel Ángel; Uribe Cruz, Juan Fernando; Gonzalez Cruz, Francisco JavierThe present paper addresses the problem of how to create a parametric study through MATLAB software of any high bypass turbofan engine, through the analysis methods exposed by some authors. Consequently, to identify factors of interest such as: specific fuel consumption, propulsive efficiency, net thrust, cold flow velocity, hot flow velocity and other factors of importance. On the other hand, through this study it was possible to perform a MATLAB software code capable of calculating pressures and temperatures along each phase of the engine, to finally provide pressure and temperature graphs as a function of the phase of the power unit. Two phases of codes were developed; the first one in charge of applying the thermodynamic formulas, where the different parametric calculations were performed to be later compared with data from power units stored in a database. The code provides a power unit that matches the data delivered by the customer. Subsequently, a second phase of code was developed in charge of the Guided User Interface (GUI) where any user familiar with the thermodynamic study of power units, can access in a clear and simple way without having to know the programming language used in MATLAB.
