Sede Cartagena., ) Soto Ríos, Marlly Liced; Pérez Benítez, Johan HernánThis proposal raises the high degree of significance that the implementation of traditional games acquires within the teaching and learning process with respect to strengthening reading levels at a literal and inferential level. From the establishment of the direct relationship between traditional games and the curriculum, a didactic strategy is proposed in order to exercise reading skills while promoting the transition from a methodical classroom to a more dynamic one mediated by the game. In accordance with the above, it can be affirmed that a playful approach in the teaching task guarantees the acquisition of achievement, constituting itself as a useful tool in new ways of constructing learning. In this way, the teacher goes beyond the mastery of content, moving away from traditional practices and enabling the generation of knowledge in a pleasant and meaningful way.
