Since that treatment, many species of insects have been pressured and relegated to pest levels and treated with contempt and even fear. This situation is not unfamiliar to the new generations in which children and young people in school age show negative attitudes and feelings towards these animals, especially due to ignorance of their life cycles and their role in maintaining the ecological balance of the environment on which we all depend. This disciplinary intervention proposal aims to cover two necessary fronts to promote and maintain the thought of natural conservation in the students of the I.E Marco Antonio Franco Rodríguez in the city of Villavicencio, the first: a pedagogical action that transforms the interaction of children and young people with the insects involving the educational process and the second: to promote the protection and contemplation of the natural actors involved in the maintenance of the natural ecological balance. At an initial moment, a questionnaire will be applied to identify the imaginary of the students in front of the insects and then organize a work group that will be in charge of the design, assembly and maintenance of an entomological shelter within the Educational Institution that will allow the application. of new knowledge, values and attitudes involving insects and the protection of life in any form. In addition, it is expected that the implementation of the entomological refuge opens the possibility of a pedagogical enrichment of the Institution, allowing other areas and subjects to take advantage of the tool for the execution of their own curricula.
