- ÍtemLa experimentación agrícola como una estrategia de enseñanza de la biometría en estudiantes del programa de ingeniería agroecológica de la Universidad de la Amazonía(Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. Sede Bogotá., ) Rodriguez Caicedo, Santiago; Romero Ospina., Manuel Francisco; Sánchez Olaya, Diana MaríaThe objective of this study is to present the partial advances of the agricultural experiment that was developed in the department of Caquetá, municipality of Florencia, La Viciosa village, Macagual Amazon Research Center (CIMAZ), of the University of the Amazon. 94 students of the biometrics subject of the fourth semester of the agroecological engineering program participated, in order to apply the basic principles of biometrics and statistics as methodological tools for solving problems in agroecosystems. A Random Block Design (DBCA) with 5 repetitions was applied where the treatments evaluated were: Corn monoculture; Peanut monoculture and cassava monoculture. The growth index, the leaf area index (LAI) and the leaf area ratio (RAF) were taken as growth indices, a descriptive analysis was carried out using box plots to determine the distribution of the treatments of the blocks and of the days after sowing. As a descriptive result, the presence of atypical data and asymmetric distributions was evidenced, as well as the presence of high dispersions. For the next phase of the project, the following assumptions will be verified: normality, constant variance (equal variances in the treatments) and independence.
