Sede Bogotá., ) Rivas Barrera, Martha Liliana; Pérez Benítez, Johan HernánGenerally, the study and environmental practices are attributed to natural science teachers, however, time and environmental problems have shown that it is also the duty and responsibility of all the inhabitants of the planet to care for and preserve the environment that surrounds them. Accordingly, human ecology and environmental culture are areas of study that show the imperative need to live it from every corner of society. It is for this reason that this disciplinary intervention proposal was presented, which highlights the problems that exist in the territories prioritized by the Secretary of Territorial Development and Citizen Participation, located in the city of Santiago de Cali, D.E. (Valle del Cauca). (Valle del Cauca), due to the fact that in some neighborhoods there is a constant ignorance of good and adequate environmental practices, thus exposing odor pollution due to the inadequate classification of solid waste, on the other hand there is the capture of wild animals, invasion of green areas and change in the aesthetics of the natural habitat. The proposal has four chapters, which responded to the fulfillment of the main objective, which was conditioned in proposing the environmental culture from the human ecology perspective in the Manuela Beltrán and Llano Verde territories. The intervention strategy was carried out based on three specific objectives that were the methodological route to identify, design and authenticate the proposal with the participating population. Under a qualitative research approach, with the action research method, the proposal was implemented, together with the application of instruments for data collection, which to a large extent, were the main tools to address the problem head on.
