- ÍtemLa Educación Humanística en el Programa de Fisioterapia de la Corporación Universitaria IberoamericanaRincón Castillo, Emerson Julián; Gómez Romero, Ana DoloresThe development of the praxis of the teachers of the physiotherapy program who do not have pedagogical training, requires the impulse of a humanistic vision and the development of research skills that allow them to involve in their teaching practice the training and research to improve the relationship of future health professionals and patient-users, applying values and ethical principles. Objective: to design a research line ascribed to the physiotherapy program of the Corporación Universitaria Iberoamericana, that transverses the humanistic vision to the development of the practice of the non-teaching physiotherapy teacher. Methodology: the qualitative research approach was selected, since qualitative studies are characterized by their explanatory properties and their exploratory power. For this study, the in-depth interview directed to experts in the area of education; and the structured open-ended survey aimed at finding out the opinions and experiences of non-educational teachers of the physical therapy program of the Corporación Universitaria Iberoamericana were selected as information collection instruments. Conclusions: A very positive and favorable perception of humanist thought was established by the participants in this study. It is recommended to study and put into practice the humanist postulates of Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers and Paulo Freire, which can have a strong positive impact on teaching and research in higher education, as well as on the practice of the physical therapy professional. It is recommended to the Corporación Universitaria Iberoamericana to adopt all the tools to make this proposal viable and to develop it in order to contribute to the integral formation of the students with the objective of improving the labor practice.
