Sede Bogotá., ) Ramírez Suárez, María Del Pilar; Flórez Huertas, Nelson EnriqueThis pedagogical intervention project aims to implement play as a relevant element in the improvement of the literacy process in eighth grade students at Kennedy School in the afternoon shift. To do this, we will initially address the importance of reading and writing in the development of English language skills, the problems evidenced by students, the achievements to be achieved and reading techniques such as skimming and scanning provided by textual elements necessary and relevant to read and write cohesively and comprehensively. Interact with the author and his intention must have a purpose that leads him to understand what he wants to convey. All this framed within the play as an element that promotes personal development, enhancing work in pairs or in a team in a proactive manner. The intervention route and the action plan will project changes in the attitudes, interests and performances of the students in their reading-writing process. Taking into account the foregoing, the general objective of the implementation of playful strategies for the development of English literacy skills and specific objectives such as the design and analysis of the impact of playfulness in the reading process, are fulfilled. as, to find better conditions for the comprehension of texts by means of the elaboration of creative and didactic activities that allow a playful learning.
