Sede Bogotá., ) Ramírez Soto, John Boris; Chitiva Rodríguez, Darío AlexanderThis research explores “recreational mathematics as a pedagogical strategy for resolution and analysis of problems with 5th grade students of the Departamental Educational Institution Antonio Ricaurte Rural Headquarters Manuel del Sur of Ricaurte Cundinamarca” as a possible cause of apathy to the subject and poor performance of the students in external tests applied to the institution, the project aims to improve the appearance of analysis of problem situations in the students of the educational institution; through playful teaching strategies using tools and educational projects of the rural headquarters, their skills in the analysis and solution of problem situations in their environment. Analyzing the importance of mathematics in daily life and the need for them to be worked in a more enjoyable way for the student in an active, creative and motivating way this project is developed, based on a previous analysis of the difficulties presented by students and parents daily at school and home. It formulates plans and executes activities through strategies that seek to arouse interest and to see mathematics from another perspective on the part of the student; immerse it in a way that allows the mathematical world to discover its useful side and to make academic progress easier in this area.
