Sede Bogotá., ) Peña Quiñonez, Diana Paola; Socha Leon, German David; Mesias Bolaños, Fannor Arley; Diosa García, AlejandroThe purpose of this research work was to investigate the implementation of play, as a didactic strategy in the area of artistic education, developed at the Antonio Baraya IED School, with tenth grade students. The project arises as a fundamental part of a learning process to motivate students through art, and create awareness that this is an indispensable part of human development, since it allows teaching creative thinking to solve problems and face challenges and its contribution to today's society in order to identify the development of critical thinking skills. The study focused on the exploitation of artistic processes, which play an important role in teaching plans, since it provides children with activities in which they can communicate their emotions, experiences, feelings and perceptions in their life; action research as a methodological strategy, which is a qualitative method focused mainly on the knowledge of the social sciences and the humanities, through systematic questioning or criticism of professional practice and continuous improvement in specific areas and their aid components and support tools that improve the abilities and skills of students. It was possible to identify the sample of a group of 20 students, with the use of the group interview.Finally, some conclusions are made that show alternatives to work in the artistic area from the pedagogy of play, leaving the path open to future research on the topic.
