Sede Bogotá., ) Gómez Ramírez, Mariana Lisset; Parra Mateus, Miguel Edgardo; Rincón Jaimes, Eduard AndersonThis research proposes the design of a pedagogical strategy to strengthen the agricultural and livestock skills related to mathematics of technical high school students, in order to improve the understanding of knowledge and the application of knowledge in their daily activities. It is presented as a general objective of designing a pedagogical strategy to strengthen agricultural and livestock skills related to mathematics, during technical education oriented at the ITA Gustavo Duarte Alemán located in the rural area of Floridablanca (Santander); in its methodology, a qualitative approach of action research type has been arranged. The instruments applied were: a survey with open questions addressed to technical high school students (tenth and eleventh) in order to analyze the appreciation, they have regarding the transversality of agricultural and livestock skills and mathematics; a diagnostic test to identify the application of basic concepts in mathematics for the solution of situations in the agricultural context. During the development of the investigation, it was possible to show that the students, in addition to not identifying or relating the agricultural and livestock skills of the technical training with their daily activities on the farms, also present difficulty in applying basic mathematical concepts and procedures to solve situations of the problem agricultural and livestock context, therefore, a pedagogical proposal (guided by the active pedagogy model) was designed to strengthen agricultural and livestock skills related to mathematics in accordance with the skills that high school students must develop, as described in the Institutional Educational Project from college.
