- ÍtemEstrategia pedagógica para la prevención de la obesidad infantil en la modalidad familiar del ICBF de colosó – Sucre y la modalidad institucional de San Andrés(Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. Sede Bogotá., ) Pérez Salas, Orlando de Jesús; Buitrago Ovalle, Diana Marcela; Williams Walters, Zuleika Magdalena; Guzmán Orjuela, Rita CristinaSince 1975 obesity has tripled worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (2016) 41 million children under the age of five were overweight or obese. Added to this problem is the isolation resulting from the COVID 19 crisis, which brought negative consequences for the health of children. In the United States, in December 2020, 1.27 million new cases of childhood obesity were already published, which would mean an increase in its prevalence of around 15% in many of the American states. It is intuited that a similar increase may have occurred in other countries of the world Cuschieri & Grech (2020). Based on the above, the present work aimed to prevent childhood obesity by designing a pedagogical strategy that allows the strengthening of healthy habits in childhood at the ICBF in Sucre and San Andrés, for the elaboration of the background, a review was carried out systematically in different databases, the study presents a qualitative approach under the type of action research, the study population was 91 parents, 91 children and 8 teachers who belong to the Góticas de Amor care unit in the department of Sucre, municipality of Colosó and to the La Esmeralda child development center in San Andrés and Providencia. The results of the research say that compared to the initial prestrategy assessment, an increase of 4% is observed in boys and girls in appropriate weight for age, a decrease of 4% in overweight and 5% in obesity, reaching the conclusion that the acquisition of healthy habits by boys and girls in relation to a good diet, the practice of physical activity and the reduction of obesogenic environments is of vital importance for the prevention of obesity and brings with it great benefits for their integral development.
