- ÍtemContribución a la formación autogestora desde el emprendimiento de las familias en el criterio de la autodeterminaciónAriza Morales, Daniela Alejandra; Arroyo Moller, Ingrid Nathali; Pérez Pinzón, María Alejandra; Nocua Sarmiento, Efraín AlonsoSelf-management training for people with intellectual disabilities has made evident a significant change in the empowerment of this population and their families since the development of self-determination and the recognition of their rights. Since 2010, Asdown Colombia began working under the guidance of the Spanish auto-determined agent movement, which, based on the results in that country, expanded to Latin America. Based on the relevance of this training and the need to make visible the process of self-management training to grow and accommodate a larger population group. In the present study, the interviews were conducted with six self-managers divided into three groups: initial, intermediate and advanced, their respective parents and directors of the ASDOWN corporation, and the INCO-FEAPS scale was applied to the six self-advocates, with the aim of establishing the contribution of the self-management project based on the analysis of their significant experiences and those of their families about the promotion of self-determination and quality of life. There was a marked difference between the initial and advanced self-advocates regarding the empowerment of different topics, especially those that refer to the promotion and struggle of their rights and self-determination. With the current research work, we seek to raise awareness and inform about a training proposal that contributes to the integral development of people with intellectual disabilities and their participation in society. Also from the evidenced, contribute through the creation of an informative primer that empowers parents from acting as the main core of their child in order to articulate with the school and society.
