- ÍtemAnálisis de la estructura interna de la versión adaptada al contexto colombiano del instrumento CSI para la medición del Índice de Estilo Cognitivo en una muestra de estudiantes universitarios(Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. Sede Bogotá., ) Narváez Rodríguez, Ricardo Andrés; Fonseca Gómez, Lida RubielaIn this research, a comparative analysis of the psychometric functioning of the items and of the internal structure of the Chilean version of the CSI instrument for the measurement of the Cognitive Style Index and the version adapted to the Colombian context was carried out through data collected with a sample of University students. A first piloting of the Chilean version was carried out with 106 participants, obtaining a Cronbach's Alpha of .67 for the analytical cognitive style and discriminations of the items between .05 and .42 and for the intuitive style a Cronbach's Alpha of .62 and discriminations of the items between -.07 and .51. 84% of the items were adapted to the Colombian context and another application was made with 250 participants, obtaining for the analytical cognitive style in Cronbach's Alpha of .89 and discriminations of the items between .21 and .66 and for the intuitive style a Cronbach's alpha of .80 and discriminations of the items between .07 and .56. A more marked bifactorial structure was found in the Colombian version compared to the Chilean version, in accordance with the theoretical references implemented for the construction of the original instrument. The resulting instrument has 32 items with a Cronbach's Alpha of .90 and item discriminations between .34 and .67 for the analytical style and a Cronbach's Alpha of .82 and item discriminations between .27 and .55 for the intuitive style. The instrument obtained in this research resulted in a better bifactorial structure compared to the Chilean version and with higher internal consistency and discrimination indicators, which supports a first evidence of the internal functioning of the instrument for the Colombian university population.
