Sede Bogotá., ) Avirama, Carmen Emilia; Muñoz Camacho, Yilmar; Nocua Sarmiento, Efraín AlonsoEnvironmental Education for the adequate and rational management of water resources is the applicable project in the educational community of La Cabaña in Timbío - Cauca, where it is intended to change the daily practices that have been negatively impacting the natural water system and the environment for years. that surrounds them, through methodological alternatives that are based primarily on observing the current state of water resources where everyone will read their environmental reality, then continuing with the process of knowledge that has to start with the experience of the most old and establishing differences between the abundant water wealth that was had and the current panorama, forming awareness from the first years of schooling and projecting to all the individuals that make up the rural society of said village about the value and importance of knowing how to interact with the environment to decide to become participatory agents of healthy transformation of their environment that points to a better quality of life, thus assuming innovative actions that contribute to environmental and socio - cultural sustainability and with an expansive vision of future entrepreneurship. In this way, the research provides experiences of participatory action with opportunities to create and inherit changes in their environment with positive results in the medium and long term in the conceptual, legal and all the mechanisms that allow the execution of the project, then promoting environmental education inclusive, grounded in reality, which opens spaces for reflection, participation, cooperation, execution and change.
