Sede Bogotá., ) Muñoz Bohórquez, York Mary; Novoa Coronado, Yerlyn Edith; Peña Guarín, NéstorThe theme on the arts as a strategy to improve creativity and attention to students of fifth of basic elementary school Normal upper municipality of Monterrey, purpose was to make a diagnosis of the factors affecting the academic success of students from fifth of basic primary at the Ecole Normale Supérieure; recognized by the register's observation, behaviors related to the process of a sample of students with low academic performance fifth basic primary; activities that allow the evaluation of indicators of creativity that the sample students are object of study, to activities of plastic expression, recording the line basis to compare the progress after the applied educational strategy; design a set of teaching strategies in the area of art education, with a view to stimulating the development of creativity, processes of care and their academic performance; to assess the results obtained during the implementation of strategies against the behaviors expected in the care process and the development of the creativity of the students study. the methodology applied corresponded to the qualitative approach from a multivariate process and simultaneously worked research action. the population were 19 students of fifth of basic primary, ages 10 to 11. the instruments that were implemented were: teachers survey, scale conners abridged for teachers and registration of indicators of creativity.
