Sede Bogotá., ) Mosquera Waldo, Luz Dary; Chicagana Lopez, ArmandoThe purpose of this research project was to strengthen reading comprehension through art as a pedagogical strategy, specifically in (drawing, dramatization, recreation and sculpture), aimed at sixth grade students of the El Mango Indigenous Educational Institution in Turbo Antioquia. The population and sample were made up of fifteen (15) students from said institution, therefore, to collect the information, a diagnostic questionnaire and 4 questionnaires were applied in conjunction with the activities of the proposed pedagogical strategies, this according to the phases of the project, the which were validated by experts. Therefore, the reliability of the research instrument was obtained through the contributions of Hernández & Baptista (2010), regarding the experimental descriptive quantitative method that they use in their work. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that a high percentage of the students who participated in the study managed to pass the reading comprehension workshops, decreasing the number of failures as the action phases developed. This is how they were applied, under the workshop modality, whose duration was (9) weeks shared in sessions. The evaluation of the same was carried out through a workshop-type questionnaire instrument with its respective evaluation rubric, the lime had its own defined criteria towards the development of each activity, evidenced in it the effectiveness and relevance of the same, obtaining as a result that the Workshops provide students with much-needed strengthening of reading comprehension.
