Sede Bogotá., ) Moreno Valencia, Elvira; Sinisterra García, Héctor; Diosa García, AlejandroThe objective of this research is to strengthen reading and writing skills in second and third grade students of the Rural District Educational Center (CEDR) El Curubital, located in the town of Usme, Bogotá, through a didactic innovation, based on the methodology project-based learning and curricular integration, which made it possible to strengthen students' literacy skills, in order to consolidate reading habits. The work has investigative and educational relevance given that unified workshops were proposed, in which rurality and the little accessibility of students to the virtual were taken into account. The methodology is of a qualitative type, more specifically, in education action research, which is why a bibliographic review of regional, national and international research on reading-writing deficiencies in primary school students was carried out, together with the collection information through the application of instruments such as the survey, the semi-structured interview and diagnostic and final workshops.
