Sede Bogotá., ) Moreno Vásquez, Kleyder Alexander; Cuervo Gamboa, Luz MarinaThe purpose of this proposal is to design a pedagogical strategy within the framework of the teaching of the English foreign language, which allows the teacher to equip themselves with innovative tools to promote effective learning situations and provide solutions to the problems identified in the specific context of the Lola González Educational Institution of the city of Medellín. This problem, from three perspectives: the first has to do with the weaknesses of ninth grade students in the area, the second with the teaching practices implemented by teachers and the third with the lack of integration of the reality close to the student in the didactic process. Due to the above, the strategy that is designed from the Project-Based Learning Model is entitled English for Tourism, the purpose of which is to carry out activities that strengthen the development of communication skills in a foreign language in relation to the tourist component that characterizes the context in which the Educational Institution is immersed, in this case commune 13, in order to provide tools that enable the student to be an active subject in the reality within which it is located.
