Sede Bogotá., ) Morales Zea, Consuelo; Rodríguez Dueñas, Shirley Milena; Maturana Rentería, Yhassury Ivonny; Paeres Aguirre, Ana MaríaThe lack of the habit of reading, disinterest, apathy, presented by grade 3 students of the Sacred Heart School, located in the municipality of Paz de Ariporo, Casanare. Reading is fundamental in the personal and professional development of the child since, from it, it understands, analyzes and deepens the world that surrounds it, achieving a significant knowledge and criticism in any field where it moves. It is for this reason that the research proposal is approached based on the qualitative method with the need to bring about a change in the work that is carried out as language teachers, based on the difficulties that have been perceived through the teaching process. In this way the concern arises to build a strategy through playfulness, to face such difficulty and direct it to a solution. On it worked this strategy playful "I read, I understand, I interpret and I respond I love reading" where a series of activities is proposed with the aim of encouraging reading through games that lead them to make a more interactive process of understanding and be able to achieve in the child a reading habit, with the help of the educational community. This strategy allows to enhance levels and reading comprehension, leading the child to meaningful learning and critical thinking. The proposal can be implemented in primary basic with plans according to their age and environment.
