Sede Bogotá., ) Montañez Salamea, Mónica Astrid; Guzmán Orjuela, Rita CristinaThis document presents the investigative process, originated by the need to strengthen the emotional development of transitional grade 2 students, during the transition to first grade at Colegio Álvaro Gómez Hurtado, in the town of Suba. through the design and implementation of the virtual pedagogical proposal called "Yoga as a ludic-pedagogical pedagogical strategy in initial education". Through the qualitative approach and the type of Action Research, the intervention was carried out during the COVID19 pandemic time, with the learn at home strategy in collaboration with parents, the initial questionnaires were applied to students, parents and teachers. Subsequently, the proposal is implemented and a focus group aimed at transitional students is carried out as a follow-up instrument against yoga and its incidence on the emotional state of children, the following instrument was a final questionnaire directed at parents and teachers. In addition, a focus group was held for first-year students to learn about their experience with yoga in their transition process. The results of the study show that through the implementation of the pedagogical proposal, students were favored by relieving the tensions that occur during the transition from preschool to primary school and strengthening their self-management and emotional balance. It is concluded that the institution prevails a greater concern for the development of the cognitive part of the boys and girls, leaving aside their socio-affective part, for which a balance between the two must be sought. Emerging the need to adjust the curricular meshes taking into account the strengthening of the emotional part from initial education. In addition, the proposal is presented to the different levels of the institution who approve the continuity of its implementation.
