Sede Bogotá., ) Milanés Ángel, Luis Miguel; Hernández Riaño, Yesid ManuelThis disciplinary intervention proposal determines Language Immersion as a favorable strategy for learning English as a second language. To do this, it begins by describing a problematic situation that leads to the use of unsuccessful strategies for acquiring a language, specifically at the El Calpulli Psychopedagogical Institute, a primary school in Bogotá D.C. Thus, a central question and other guiding questions are framed aimed at the favorability of Linguistic Immersion. In this way, a general objective is proposed to show how this strategy favors the formation of English, being essential to know important information about this method along with its characteristics, types and benefits, in addition to English as a universal language to finish in this section covering how the learning process is. By virtue of the above, three immersive play activities are carried out as part of the strategy developed "Learning with Characters" mediated by electronic learning (E-Learning) and Game-based learning (GBL), based on development of the four communication skills in English: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Finally, it concludes and gives some recommendations thanks to the results obtained with this intervention, thus allowing not only the achievement of the main objective proposed, but also a possible scope in the knowledge of tools and strategies in favor of a Bilingual and / or Multilingual education .

Sede Bogotá., ) Milanés Ángel, Luis Miguel; Roa Rodriguez, PatriciaThe research project Linguistic Immersion: a fundamental strategy for learning English as a foreign language in high school students of the educational establishment Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Bogotá that registers in the line institutional: evaluation, learning and teaching and in the subline: teaching processes and learning, allows us to show how an adequate strategy influences the learning of the English as a foreign language in the educational establishment of preschool, primary, secondary and middle school in the city of Bogotá. To do this, it begins by describing a problematic situation that leads to the use of failed strategies for the acquisition and internalization in the short, medium and long term of a second language, specifically English. A rather interesting situation, in which The State has invested resources in favor of Bilingualism, thus contributing to the creation of quality policies. However, there is little achievement of macro objectives of progressively based on the high standards and performance ratings by language skills and abilities of students in Colombia. It is from this interest that this research is presented, where an objective is to recognize how the language immersion strategy favors the student in the English training; Thus, it is essential to know schematized investigations as antecedents in the international, national and local contexts. Consequently, the information is conceptualized within the theoretical framework about the "Learning with Characters" strategy in question and relevant concepts around the theory framed in the present investigation. Subsequently, the methodological design is described, in which are detailed: the approach, paradigm, phases, type of research method and instruments for the data collection according to the strategy to be carried out in the investigation. Finally, some conclusions are given according to the results obtained and analyzed in the intervention process.
