This is why electronic commerce or e-commerce takes on a greater role when it comes to carrying out purchasing processes; since when the capacity of people and physical access to establishments are limited commercial it is necessary to opt for fast and safe mechanisms, in addition to purchasing habits and consumption dynamics changed significantly, therefore this situation brought with it a accelerated and exponential digitization hence payment gateways are the intermediate tools for the interaction between companies and consumers. However, electronic commerce is not exempt from vulnerabilities, mainly cybernetic, since that have been increasing in tandem with the increase in online shopping, hence it is of great importance of raising consumer awareness about trends in cybersecurity and regulation for the electronic commerce and payment gateways, thus providing an adequate level of awareness when to protect data, thus improving consumers' perception of security and that companies manage to increase their income.
