Sede Bogotá., ) Parra Negrete, Jaime Alberto; Cáceres Calderón, María del Carmen; Moreno Alguero, Merlyng Cristina; Medina Velandia, Lucy NohemíThis educational intervention project P.I.E. focuses on the creation of a pedagogical strategy that encourages the planting of traditional crops among Grade Eleven students of the Monseñor José Manuel Salcedo Educational Institution, located in the municipality of Palmira, in the department of Valle del Cauca. The purpose of this project is to rescue traditional crops such as cassava, banana, coffee, cocoa, corn, yams, vegetables, among others, which have been a source of food for peasant families for generations. To achieve this objective, it is proposed to implement the “Sow, harvest and enjoy” proposal, which consists of a series of activities that seek to motivate students to take advantage of the land to obtain economic and nutritional benefits. A qualitative approach and action research methodology will be used to carry out the research. In addition, participant observation and an analysis log will be used as data collection techniques, and the Structured Interview aimed at students will be applied as an information collection instrument. The results of the research indicate that it is possible to obtain a satisfactory response from students and parents through the implementation of a series of dynamics related to the way in which they obtain their food. In this way, it is expected to contribute to the strengthening of agricultural culture and sustainable development in the community. Therefore, this educational intervention project seeks to help students rescue the traditional crops that grow in the Valle del Cauca region, through a pedagogical strategy that includes the implementation of practical activities and the application of action research techniques and structured interviews. This is expected to contribute to sustainable development in the community and promote agricultural culture.
