- ÍtemFuncionamiento psicosexual, riesgo sexual y actitudes hacia la infidelidad en un grupo de pacientes con traumatismo craneoencefálico.(Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. Sede Bogotá., ) Roballo Sabogal, Carolina,; Mateus Flórez, Laudy;; Folleco, Johanna AndreaTraumatic brain injury (TBI) is the second leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the world. The high incidence and prevalence, the complexity and breadth of subsequent alterations, make TCEs a public health problem. These are injuries that occur abruptly, where the brain loses its stability due to the action of mechanical forces of acceleration and deceleration, which in turn induce variations in cell metabolism (Gómez, Bayona, Rojas, Santacruz & Uribe, 2008), resulting in sequels that compromise physical, cognitive, behavioral and emotional functioning (Arango, Premuda & Holgin, 2012). The changes in these capacities affect one of the most important and transcendent human dimensions such as sexual functioning. In this regard, the interest in the study of alterations related to sexual functioning is relatively recent in the world, much more recent still in Colombia, where only two publications are registered. The objective of this research sought to describe the changes evidenced in psychosexual functioning, sexual risk and attitudes towards infidelity in a group of military patients with varying degrees of severity of traumatic injury. The participation of 60 patients with TBI, without neurological and / or psychiatric history, whose minimum time of evolution of the lesion was six months and the average age was 27.75 years. An evaluation protocol composed of 7 standardized and validated instruments that evaluate the variables of interest was applied. No significant differences (p≤0.05) were found in psychosexual functioning, sexual risk and attitudes towards infidelity, in relation to the severity of the injury
