Sede Bogotá., ) Martínez Ruiz, Teresa;; Sáchica Cepeda, Leidy CristinaThe proposal of this interdisciplinary intervention aims to recognize the importance of the socio-emotional training considering the stage of development and it is directed to fourth-grade students from San Bartolomé la Merced School. The students showed some difficulties in the daily interaction and expression of thoughts, feelings, and needs. It was also observed some shyness, anxiety, and back of certainty in children when they are asking or participating in class. Other students felt misunderstood by the group, so they cut themselves off their peers. As an intervention strategy, there were planned some experiences exposing students to several languages of art and social studies contexts to help students recognize themselves as worthy people with special and important characteristics. Part of the objectives of these experiences are to help students identify their feelings, express their thoughts and needs accurately and to recognize and value their emotions while they have a harmonic relation with their community developing empathy and respect for all kinds of cultural expressions.
