Sede Bogotá., ) Martínez Quintero, Diana Marcela; Maffiol Arias, Luz CarmenThis academic and research work was aimed to understand from the systemic approach and health psychology, the emotional experiences of three patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the city of Tunja in their process of linking to treatment. This was done under a qualitative study with a hermeneutic design, using semi-structured interviews of a single session that allowed, together with instruments such as the genogram and ecomap, to collect information in a broad and comprehensive way about the experiences around the health-disease processes that the participants go through with respect to DM2. With the above, and after a theoretical review on the problem of linkage to treatment, the factors associated with it, the psychology of health and emotions, it was found through an analysis matrix, that the relationship that participants make with their treatment, has a complex and dynamic character based on the particular way patients have of co-constructing their reality and weaving relationships, understanding in such a way that the emotional experiences of the participants are those that allow organizing and establishing the relationship they create with their treatment, in such a way that they are experiences endowed with dynamism, transformation, challenges and meanings that emerge after the approach to each of the therapeutic agreements and the multicausal relationship they establish with the factors associated with the process of linking to the treatment.
