Sede Bogotá., ) Avendaño Guzmán, Angie Carolina; Martínez Chacón, Paola Andrea; García Cano, LupeThis document gives an account of a formative research that aimed to strengthen the literacy process of children between the ages of 6 and 8 in the market place of august 7, after school hours, through recreational activities-pedagogical. The research was developed through the qualitative approach methodology and action research method; During the process, techniques and instruments such as: observation, field diaries and semi-structured interviews were applied, which allowed the generation of a pedagogical proposal to strengthen the literacy process of 6 boys and 6 girls, children of the workers of the Square. With the implementation and development of the proposal, it was possible to recognize the importance of playful activity, articulated with guiding activities and active didactics, as pedagogical tools to strengthen learning and favor the literacy process, allowing children to appropriate their knowledge and experiences, taking into account the characteristics of the culture and context in which they develop after school.
