Sede Bogotá., ) Marroquin Guasaquillo, Alberth Mackenzy; Ortiz Gutiérrez, Cristian Camilo; Chicangana López, ArmandoIn the municipality of Puerto Rico, Caquetá in the Rural Educational Institution La Aguililla it is a great challenge to achieve quality education, understood as that which forms better citizens with ethical values, who exercise human rights, fulfill their duties and live together in peace. Education that generates legitimate opportunities for progress and prosperity. In order to respond to the social needs and transformation of the territory with high biodiversity potential, this research proposes to monitor the influence of environmental projects in the development and strengthening of research skills, which will strengthen pedagogical processes and the Institutional Educational Project (IEP) as a tool for community leadership in critical-social processes in defense of the territory and natural resources. A methodology is proposed following the mixed approach, which involves collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, its integration and coordinate discussion. All the information collected from ethnographic research is seeking to understand social phenomena from the perspective of its members using participant observation and a diary as the main instruments for data collection. The follow-up will be applied to a sample of 22 students from sixth grade of the institution, applying characterization and diagnosis on investigative skills, implementing an investigative-environmental pedagogical proposal and finally, replicating the test of investigative skills through a diagnostic survey. With the objective of measuring and promoting the development of research skills through environmental projects, making a diagnosis of these skills and promoting leadership and empowerment of students in environmental conservation, strengthening the teaching and learning process of research skills. The pedagogical and integrative exercise of research in the territory through a group exercise, allows students to acquire appropriate and important knowledge to strengthen and XVII enhance scientific skills. The development of the challenges in the pedagogical guidance provided the possibility of getting in contact with research actions that, in a simple way, become significant experiences, since they allow the students to perceive moments of life in the territory that reaffirm their personal interests or enhance experiences that positively trigger learning and significant skills during the development process
