Sede Bogotá., ) Marquinez Realpe, John Andrés; Orduy Rodríguez, Jaime EnriqueAccording to Resnick (1989), the pedagogical strategy concept is directly related to the teaching and learning processes that are generated between the teacher and the students, in which activities are combined to develop pedagogical practices effectively. This document seeks to generate a proposal for a didactic strategy to respond to fourth-grade students' difficulty in solving problem situations. Among the difficulties are reading comprehension, the interpretation of the problem, and the difficulty in proposing alternatives to troubleshoots. Designing a strategy for solving a problem promotes the development of mathematical skills based on mathematical procedures and knowing how, when, where, and why to use them in an argued and reasonable manner. The strategy proposes the generation of didactic activities such as games, shopping at the school store or the neighborhood store, applying measurement by calculating length, height, weight, size, or quantities, and using some tools such as the meter or the scale. The methodology is focused on classroom work, developed through didactic sequences, performing the following steps: Understand the problem, Set up a plan, Execute the plan: and look back so that the student has the opportunity to review their work and make sure if you didn't make a mistake. This research work is carried out within the master’s degree in Education of the Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores. It focuses on designing a pedagogical proposal based on problem-solving to strengthen the spatial-metric component of mathematical thinking in students of the fourth grade of the Carlos Castro Saavedra Educational Institution of the township of Puerto Caldas, municipality of Pereira. Finally, the models and other elements, directly and indirectly, related to the problem situation carried out by the students are presented and registered on several billboards that receive the name of collective evidence.

Based on the question and the general objective is a descriptive study whose purpose is to investigate or specify the sustainability, validity, evaluation and pedagogical, ecological and environmental benefits of the research projects developed 3 in this case the PRAE, whose objective is precisely transmit to children and young people the importance of a comprehensive and active environmental education. The central activity of the research is recycling, the use of paper in the Carlos Castro Saavedra Educational Institution of the municipality of Pereira Sorting waste into boxes for recycling, the process waste must go through for subsequent reuse, etc., is necessary to develop awareness about consumption and the ways in which waste is disposed of. The Carlos Castro Saavedra Educational Institution has been chosen because it is the place where recycling is necessary and it is feasible to practice and develop a useful virtual tool and because it facilitates access to the PRAE project information, which is real and will lead to a detailed and analytical research.
