Located in the township of Ulloa, Valle del Cauca, which has more than three hundred students. For the development of the proposal the plan is to work during two terms with students from middle school, specifically 10th graders, meaning 23 pupils. The project arises to solve a specific need of the educational community at large, by introducing to young people the idea of how they can help to reduce the ecological footprint, transforming their consumption habits. For this purpose a three stages work is proposed; first of all to conduct a survey that let us know the young people's daily consumption habits; secondly, to do a pedagogical work though workshops, conference and videos to raise awareness about the consequences of their consumption habits on the environment. Thirdly, three open classroom exercises, initially to show them the water sources that the town has with the information given by the UMATA, asking them to take note of the pollution that threats each water source. Finally, a work of garbage collection with the help of SERVIULLOA near those sources with biosafety conditions. Expected results: to raise students and their families awareness; the idea is to make it a long term work with the middle school students.

Sede Bogotá., ) Aguirre, Rolando; Marín Bedoya, Francy Milena; León Larrota, Miguel Angel; Gómez Escobar, Jorge HernánAt the Leocadio Salazar Educational Institution, located in the municipality of Ulloa, in the north of the Valle department; has been detected among the members of the educational community, that in general, there is no culture of life around the environmental principles This is evident in the actions observed in most of the people from the community: There is no proper management of solid waste that are generated within the Institution and for this reason it is intended to structure a project that inculcates appropriate environmental practices, so that the students, teachers and parents, establish a more appropriate, firstly with the spaces of the Institution and secondly, with its natural environment. The creation and adaptation of spaces for the accumulation, classification and separation of solid waste, along with training on the management of themselves, will be the bases that support the research proposal. This work will be carried out in conjunction with the environment committee and the coexistence, to motivate and carry out joint actions that involve the entire educational community, for the well-being of students and the environment.
