Sede Bogotá., ) Ballestas De León, Mayerly; Pérez Pérez, Martha Cecilia; Lozano Bustamante, Kenis; Guzmán Orjuela, Rita CristinaThe objective of this research is to describe and analyze the parenting practices carried out by the parents of the children from 4 to 5 years of age of the CDI Pueblo Nuevo, with the purpose of proposing an educational proposal that strengthens said practices, to achieve it used the qualitative approach of descriptive type, which allowed to detail, define, describe and analyze the characteristics and circumstances related to parenting, the sample is made up of 10 families belonging to the group of 4 to 5 years of the CDI, located in the municipality of Ariguani Magdalena. In the same way, the research was developed within the methodology of the descriptive qualitative approach, which allows the analysis of parenting practices and how they affect the behavior of children in the educational environment. When applying the instruments (the survey, the structured interview and the focus group) it is evident in the results that parents have shortcomings when it comes to setting rules and limits for their children, most families use the same practices authoritarian practices used by their parents, based on punishments and unfavorable methods for the harmonious development of children, others for their part, are permissive and this causes difficulties in their children's behavior. In addition, they stated that they were not clear about democratic parenting. Based on the results and taking into account that the problem affects the interactions of boys and girls with their peers, an educational proposal is proposed consisting of nine workshops, with playful-pedagogical activities that meet the needs of participating families, this with the purpose of contributing to the comprehensive development of boys and girls, enhancing social skills from early childhood and strengthening assertive communication, good treatment and values in families.
