Sede Bogotá., ) López Oviedo, Marelis Del Carmen; Quiñones Cuero, Ana Diana; López Oviedo, Neyla Judith; Cuadros De Vílchez, DianaThe objective of this research is to design a gamified teaching strategy in the area of natural sciences for students in grade 5 of primary school at the Julián Pinto Buendía Educational Institution in the municipality of Cereté - Córdoba. This is based on a qualitative methodology, with an action research design, and diagnostic surveys, field diaries and evaluation rubrics are used as information gathering instruments. The selected sample is 25 students of the sixth grade and in a complementary way, six teachers from the natural sciences area of the institution participate in the diagnostic stage. In the diagnostic results, it is found that there is a lack in teaching practices due to the lack of innovative methods or techniques that improve teaching strategies in the natural sciences. After the design and implementation of the gamified teaching strategy, it is possible to observe that the students actively participate in the activities, and that the planning of the gamified teaching strategy is correct for the area of science since it includes pre instructional strategies, constructional and post-instructional. Thus, it is concluded that the use of techniques such as gamification fosters other more innovative learning environments, which promote autonomous and meaningful learning for students.
