Sede Bogotá., ) Hernández Alarcón, Martha Isabel; Sáchica Cepeda, Leidy CristinaThe purpose of this paper is to show the need to implement pedagogical tools using artistic expressions as a strategy to strengthen reading and writing processes in children of the initial cycle, grade 006 of the Rodrigo Lara Bonilla IED school, afternoon session. From the manifestation of the students in question, Diagnosis was made and given the low academic performance in terms of the reading process writer, caused by the lack or no physical activity, recreational and sports, the misuse of technology, which together with the social context and the possible violation of human rights to which children are exposed due to said conditions. An intervention strategy was devised, where the playful expressions were fundamental for the good development of the strategy called "Artistic expressions in the strengthening of literary reading processes in the students of preschool grade 006 of the Rodrigo Lara Bonilla IED school, afternoon session". And where artistic, corporal and cognitive abilities were strengthened and, therefore, better academic performances; evidencing the work done and focused on dance, music, literature and body expression, it results in the development of motor and cognitive abilities, body expression strengthens body memory, instruction follow-up, laterality, spatial location, music and Dance strengthens all the sensorial motor part of the student, apart from the fact that each one of the previous ones develops and strengthens values and respect for their peers.
