Sede Bogotá., ) González, Harold Danilo; Ramírez Guzmán, Diana Katherine; Soler, Andrés Camilo; Bohórquez, RicardoCounter-advertising is a strategy to denounce consumerism and the unsustainability that represents the current production model, giving our society a new and different production model sensitizing citizen. It is an ideal tool to implement a campaign against the problem that currently exists when it comes to the university students’ diet and which inspired the creation of this project. This project aims to raise awareness about fast food consumption, using the different advertising tools such as graphic pieces, social networks, an app and an effective communication strategy. With all the aforementioned, this project seeks to find the different causes and scenarios that may be causing a bad eating habit in students and additionally, give a clear message regarding the consequences of unhealthy food consumption, which is increasing in university students as a result of the hectic lifestyle that this part of the population leads. With the results and support that we got from the different methodologies we used (surveys and focus groups) it was possible to identify several reasons why students eat unhealthy food, some of them are: The price is affordable, it is easy for students to get junk food, especially on the outskirts of academic institutions where there are usually multiple establishments offering this type of food, the culture of the students and the most important reason related to this project, the advertising that is exaggerated, massive and has limited information regarding the nutritional consequences of eating junk food. On the other hand, through the information disclosed on the social network Instagram, the socialization of a fast food menu and a mobile app, the objective of generating awareness based on the information provided was reached, however, in the end it was also established that despite the negative consequences, sometimes the consumption of unhealthy food is the only alternative due to the lack of time and accelerated life that university students have.
