Sede Bogotá., ) González Viedman, Pérsides; Mira Builes, María Del Pilar; Velasco Mera, James Giovanni; Sáchica Cepeda, Leidy CristinaIn two educational institutions difficulties were detected in the generalized reading comprehension in the different grades of primary school, which is evidenced from the internal tests to the national ones, showing low results. Due to this, it is decided to design a strategy to strengthen reading comprehension in students of 2nd grade of the Sebastian de Belalcázar educational institution and 4th grade of the Maricé Sinisterra industrial educational institution Fenalco headquarters. The playful proposal called "reading and playing, I understand and I learn" is designed, which is presented as a route in which different types of texts are worked on (descriptive, narrative, instructive, informative), using different activities that allow different expressions of the students through the different languages that play brings and enriches, seeking to improve reading comprehension in students. From the design it is possible to conclude the importance of implementing playful strategies that allow the diverse expressions of the students, approaching them to the learning process, motivating them to participate in activities that allow a collaborative, creative work and reflect on the texts, improving their reading comprehension.
