Sede Bogotá., ) García Pinto, Sebastián Mauricio; Orduy Rodríguez, Jaime EnriqueThis article presents an innovative strategy as relevant technological support to the security and surveillance services of police facilities, through the implementation of the UAV unmanned aircraft system (unmanned aerial vehicle) Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) . The foregoing taking into account the acts of violence perpetuated in recent years at police facilities, such as the attack on the General Santander Police Cadet School, a terrorist attack perpetrated by the National Liberation Army (ELN), which consisted of the explosion of a car bomb on January 17, 2019. From this problem arises the need to design strategies through the implementation of technological tools that allow strengthening operational and facility security, generating a perception of security both for the community in general as well as for the police officers and women who provide daily public police service. For this reason, the National Police Training School is selected, located in the rural sector of the municipality of San Luis Tolima, which has an extension of 1071 hectares and that due to its climatic and topographic conditions are the ideal setting to develop field work supported by a mixed methodology of exploratory and documentary approach, in order to collect quantitative and qualitative data in each of the practices, yielding advantages and disadvantages, obtaining as a result the demarcation of boundaries for the georeferencing of critical points that allow real-time monitoring, verification of unauthorized access, internal and external environment diagnostics, perimeter protection, with the implementation of this technology optimizes and enhances its current capabilities.
