The way in which these are identified may or may not improve the acquisition of knowledge. The research seeks to enhance the learning process of the students of the educational institution Nuestra Señora del Carmen, through the construction of their identity as students committed to learning. The study had a qualitative research The study had a qualitative research approach, which allows addressing the question about the identity of the learner and the strengthening of learning processes, descriptive type and phenomenological method. The study resulted in the importance of the school context and the need to use the elements of IdA construction and to promote actions that help students to acquire skills, abilities and competencies that guide them towards a better performance based on the construction of IdA.
