Sede Bogotá., ) Espinosa Gualdrón, Jenny Paola; Sánchez Rojas, César AugustoThe command of a second language, specifically English, is currently a need for students and professionals due to the process of globalization that nations face in economic, social, cultural and educational aspects; which represents many opportunities in the labor field that should be used for human development. This proposal arises after making an analysis of the environment through observation where deficiencies were assessed in the processes of learning English on eleventh grade students of the Pozo Petrolero Rural Educational Institution of the municipality of Trinidad (Casanare), particularly in the textual comprehension as well as a marked lack of interest in learning this second language. Therefore, it is intended to enhance English textual comprehension and motivate its learning on this population, using playful strategies. This proposal is registered in the line of institutional research "Pedagogy, media and mediations" and is articulated at the same time with the research line of the Faculty of Educational Sciences in Pedagogy, Didactics and Infancy, specifically in the Didactic category. The strategy proposed to solve the problem is called "My Language Is A Story". This strategy is based on the game as mediator and motivator in the teaching-learning processes of English as a foreign language. This proposal is divided into six stages: knowing my language, activating vocabulary, creating vocabulary, by reading I build imagination, creating letters and acting my story.
