In addition, it is part of the basic reading skills. In second grade, students advance in their process of meaning the words they read, opening the possibility of including their mental interpretations in this exercise of converting signs into sounds. In the investigation, difficulties were found in achieving the fluidity of said process, since there is no culture of reading in its context nor sufficient motivation to achieve it. Within the didactic strategies, the use of ICT tools designed for educational purposes has given good results, which, in this case, was the app Galexia. The tests carried out with 35 second-grade students of the El Poblado Educational Institution in a qualitative methodology showed its usefulness in strengthening the understanding of words, sentences, and texts.
